Dr. White has more than 25 years experience in human resource management.

Before starting JD White & Associates, Inc. in 1995, Dr. White was Vice President of Human Resources for BDM Federal, a government contractor and information technology company.

John is a regular speaker at human resources forums and has addressed the National Conference of the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Conference of World at Work, and several human resources and business organizations in the Washington, D.C. area and across the U.S.

Dr. White received his B.A. from Hope College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Syracuse University, where he studied statistics, logic, and philosophy.

John is also a golf instructor certified by the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America.

Arleen LaBella, co-founder of Professional Resources, Inc., has more than 20 years experience as a seminar leader, an organization development consultant, and author. She specializes in building effective teams, customer service skills, gender and diversity issues in the workplace, communication and facilitation skills, management development, and strategic and future planning. She frequently serves as a third party problem solver in conflict situations and as an executive coach to team leaders and senior management.

Dr. LaBella is co-author of three publications, Personal Power, A Practical Guide to Working With Diversity, and Honoring Boundaries: Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace. In addition, she has written extensively on diversity, collaboration, and self-management skills.

She received her master’s degree from the University of Buffalo and her doctorate in Applied Behavioral Sciences from the University of Massachusetts. She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Drexler Sibbett Team Performance Inventory and is a graduate in the Organization Development Certificate Program at Georgetown University.

Tom Ettinger has more than thirty years experience in human resources management and consulting. His consulting practice has an extensive customer base providing services that address a wide range of management issues with a special focus on compensation, organizational development and systems.

Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Ettinger was Vice President, Human Resources for the Martin Marietta Corporation, where he was responsible for ensuring that the sector’s strategic and operating objectives were supported through the effective implementation of staffing, employee and labor relations, organizational development, internal and external training, communications, safety and health, benefits, affirmative action and diversity, and security including special access programs.

In a prior assignment with Martin Marietta as the Corporate Director, Compensation and Benefits Planning, Tom was accountable for corporate-wide compensation policy and programs, executive compenation plan development and administration, and board and industry related issues.

His prior business experience includes senior human resource assignments for Johns Hopkins Medical Institution and AIL Systems, a subsidiary of Eaton, Inc.

He obtained his BA from Adelphi University and MBA from Hofstra University. Mr. Ettinger is a board member for Walker Chapel, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, and the Washington Human Resource Forum, and is active in other community and professional organizations. He and his wife Gladys reside in McLean, Virginia.

Jamie has been an independent HR consultant since 2007 with clients in government contracting, publishing and the nonprofit sector and has more than 10 years of progressive HR experience.

In addition to her work as a consultant, she has more than seven years of hands-on senior level experience, most recently as an associate human resources director for a mid-sized government contractor.

As a human resources consultant she provides full HR generalist support to companies performing such duties as building an HR infrastructure, recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.

Over the course of her career, Jamie has acquired expertise regarding the impact of human dynamics on organizational effectiveness, corporate and individual performance, and growth and transformation.

Jamie has worked for small, mid-sized and large organizations designing, planning and implementing change processes for her clients.

She is recognized most for her team facilitation skills, strong writing and analytical abilities, creativity, and for producing the results clients want quickly and effectively.
